The 5RMMA Experience:
The Students of 5RMMA are taught valuable life skills in three phases spanning a time of approximately 3-1/2 years, while experiencing the excitement of self discipline through Martial Arts. Martial Arts has a proven track record for developing self confidence, self control, and anger management, and has recently became one of the top recommendations for children with A.D.D. And A.D.H.D. By Child Psychologist across America! The Child becomes self involved with the martial arts and reaching there goals, while simultaneously achieving a much larger ultimate goal of becoming a Positive role model to others. Team work among the teachers, parents, and our staff can not only have a positive impact on a child's life, but on the future of our community as well. This will become inevitable as our program grows. The children of today are the future of tomorrow, and our community will reflect the examples that we adults set today!
"Here’s How Our Martial Arts Program
Will Help
You Raise a Safer, Happier, Healthier Child"
Dear Parent,
We understand how hard it is to raise children these days. And, we know all the worries you have for your kids – bullying from their peers, pressure to abuse drugs and alcohol, and adult images in the media and on the Internet.
Children today have to deal with challenges that are overwhelming. Sadly, it is nearly impossible to shield your children from these ever-present negative influences. But, there is something you can do to help them deal with the many challenges they face.
Many parents have already discovered that martial art training is one of the most beneficial activities in which your child can participate. A martial arts school is a place where a child can learn self-control, respect, and get in shape, all in a safe and fun environment.
By enrolling your child in our martial arts classes, you’ll be helping them learn how to make positive choices. Plus, you’ll be giving them a safe place where they can develop the confidence to do what is right.
How the program works:
The Students are taught a list of ten rules; we call The Ten Ways Of The Dragon! These ten rules will cover any type of negative behavior as well as positive choices concerning vital situations, kind of like The Ten Commandments. The students are to follow these rules everywhere they go in life; home, school, public, church etc… As a child progresses through our program, they learn to set small goals that lead to large goals of success, while getting a visible and tangible view of negative progress when they fail to meet the requirements of The Ten Ways Of The Dragon! Due to the fact that our staff cannot be with the child everywhere in life, we need the help of the parents and teachers by way of communication. The students of 5RMMA develop a strong family bond with our staff and their own parents as we are family oriented and involve the parents in all we do. Because of this bond, the student begins to feel a strong need not to let us down. Often times they are willing to let there parents down, but have a reserve about disappointing our staff due to the negative effects on the goals they are striving to achieve! Many times telling the student you will contact us can have an immediate change of behavior. By this time you are probably thinking, hey, this sounds great, but what in the world is it that locks in the interest of the child?
